Deston was a kind and vibrant young man with so much life ahead of him. His untimely passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends, who are struggling to come to terms with this heartbreaking loss.
His father, Scott Tibbs, has shared his heartfelt message during this devastating time, expressing the unimaginable pain of losing his son:
“This is my son, Deston. He is 22 years old, and on January 18, 2025, he suffered a heart attack, ultimately taking his life. I’m still in so much shock; these words don’t feel real. I’m never one to ask for anything free, but at this moment, the costs for his funeral will be more than I can afford. I beg anyone reading this: love your babies, kiss your parents, and tell them you love them. I sadly now know tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Thank you, and if you can’t give anything, prayers will be more than enough in this most difficult time for both me and my family.”

I only got to meet him 3 times. He made my sister really happy, although their relationship only lasted 6 months. He brought a smile to her, everytime she’d talk to me about him. She always looked so happy and excited for their future. It is unfortunate what happened, my prayers go to his family and friends. RIP Deston
